Four things every dog gets at Paws and Relax.

Briana Smith runs her grooming salon in Gallant one dog at a time. There is no long price menu to scroll. What she publishes is how a visit is built, and it comes down to four parts: a session shaped around your dog, a calm room, gentle handling, and breaks when a dog needs them.

Open Monday to Sunday, 7:30 am to 7:00 pm, by appointment. Pricing is quoted when you book, based on your dog.

On the groom sheet

The parts of a visit Briana won't skip.

Open any of them to see how it works in the room, and what to tell her before you come.

MiddayOne visit, start to finish

What one visit feels like, from the call to the pickup.

The four parts above are not separate add-ons. They run together through every appointment, whatever your dog's coat or temperament.

Meet Briana

When you book

Tell Briana who your dog is.

Name, breed, coat, and anything that makes grooming hard: a bad experience somewhere else, a sensitive paw, a dog who goes stiff on a table. She uses it to shape the session before your dog arrives, which is the whole idea of a personalized groom.

In the room

One dog, soft light, low music.

There are no other dogs barking down the hall and no dryer running for someone else's poodle. The lights stay soft and the music stays quiet, so the first thing your dog meets is a calm room.

On the table

Handling that earns trust.

Briana uses positive, low-stress handling and does not force a frightened dog through the job. A dog who feels safe is easier to groom and far more likely to walk in calmly next time.

Between steps

Breaks, and a kennel with room.

When a dog needs a pause, they get one, along with some gentle reassurance. Waiting happens in a spacious play kennel where your dog can stretch out and get cozy. There are no tiny crates at this salon.

Dogs of every temperament are welcome, energetic or a bit anxious. If your dog is the nervous kind, say so when you call. That is exactly the dog this salon is built around.
